We’re kicking off #HispanicHeritageMonth by highlighting the delicious and colorful empanadas at @nadasnyc. During 2020 when restaurants were struggling, Carlos Santos began sharing a delicious and unique Empanada recipe with hospital workers and affordable housing areas around NYC. A few months later, Nadas as we know it came to be! Carlos grew up learning the traditional Colombian dishes and the importance of the freshest ingredients from his mother, Olga. He was just a young and energetic child when he and Olga made the journey from Colombia to the United States with just $600. During the financial crash of 2008, she continued to fight for her dreams and opened up her own restaurant in New York called @aesantafe. Nadas has their first brick and mortar in the West Village, but you can enjoy the unique and color empanadas and the other 20+ vendors at #WTCSmorgasburg every Friday from 11am – 7pm on Fulton Street. #NYCEats #WorldTradeCenter #DowntownNYC
