WELCOME TO THE WORDCOLOUR EARNEST EOY POST. 2022. In all honestly this has been a strange and heartbreaking year for me personally. Losing my dad in the summer has, as you might expect, overshadowed pretty much everything else. Still, some cool shit happend. incl: - First ever wordcolour remixes from @dj__python @felix_djrum & The Soft Pink Truth (@xmatmosx) - My album came out. A deeply personal and ambitious record that has been unfairly snubbed by all good EOY lists. - I did two remixes and a collab, both out next year! - I'm also finally finishing up a couple of new Wordcolour tracks. Probably the first stuff in ages that hasn't been written in lockdown. This is pour le club, I think this is some of the best stuff I've made, and I can't wait for you to hear it! - Put together the first ever Wordcolour live set, played cool shows in Bristol and London. - I finally feel I'm hitting my stride and getting comfortable with DJing. I did my first ever live-stream for @darc.city . - More fun DJ gigs, I had the best time in Barcelona meeting the Lapsus crew, and tearing up Laut. - I read "Can Music Make You Sick" which, whilst kind of bleak, is cathartic and illuminating, and has helped me to rethink my relationship to music and my life as a musician: hot tip!
