"Service in life, hope in death" said the Archbishop. Must say, am missing you already, your Majesty. Your funeral was just how you planned it: full of pomp and pageantry and a moment that brought the whole country together as we understood our place in history. We popped down to Hyde Park to watch the procession and there were little messages of love and respect everywhere (swipe right). I didn't expect to feel sad but I do. She was an incredible presence, there for our entire lives. If she didn't always do the right thing, she soon corrected herself. But mostly she did do the right thing, and latterly inspired us to do so too. Felt almost embarrassed for her that we were all watching her coffin for days and days and days. But then, that was just what she wanted. Even in death she continued to serve. May your children honour your work. We will open our hearts to give them a chance.
