At the heart of Detroit-based artist Davariz Broaden’s (@deezy_) Salon Highlight was a celebration: of his love for painting, of his ability to create freely, of the greater sense of self that comes with age. Within the featured paintings, figures gathered in moments of simple joy and togetherness. Through the collection of intimate illustrations, the audience was led to imagine one larger, collective scene, where lovers dance hand-in-hand to the tunes of the seasoned musicians.
