ADDED DEPTH Just a bit brighter is what we all hear from clients - brighter for Christmas, brighter for Easter , brighter for a birthday, brighter for summer. Brighter for winter- the thing is it becomes a trap of overly blonde hair, Taking a step back and really looking at the client and asking her a lot of questions about what she means by brighter and I usually find that they feel dull and flat- that’s because there is no serious contrast. This client came in with too much blonde and to little depth . Foils out - depth added and viola first time in a commercial appointment and we got well in the way to a new look - feeling brighter because of the contrast.
