As summer slowly comes to an end, so do the long days spent with the kids—and with that, all our adventures. I used to fear this time, wondering how to entertain them and keep them busy. But eventually, I overcame those fears and stepped out of my shell. Yes, it takes courage to just get up and explore the city with a 2-year-old and a 7-year-old—taking ferries, busy trains, and bus rides. But we did it, and it was fun and memorable. The kids grew, and so did I. Now, I’m ready to embrace the school days and whatever they may bring.
