SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE
In what very well may be the most gratifying quarter-life crisis in music history, a disillusioned #StevieWonder found himself on brink of retirement at just 26 years old with plans to trade in stadium tours for the more altruistic calling of working with disabled children in Ghana. That is, of course, prior to the September 28, 1976 when the prodigious singer-songwriter releases 'Songs in the Key of Life', an ambitious eighteenth studio album hallmarked by such hits as "Isn't She Lovely", "Pastime Paradise" and the aural vision of a creatively emancipated young artist coming into his own under new contract with Motown Records (@motownrecords), giving the prodigious talent the full creative control he sought on no uncertain terms.
A testament to truly time-honored artistry, the unrivaled visionary's crowning achievement still hits all the right notes 46 years later.
