‎״Gender blender״ אור מנחם @or_menahem הנחיה: קלודט זורע הפרויקט עוסק באופנה מגדרית באמצעות תשאול ביקורתי בנושא דימוי חברתי־מגדרי בתוך חברה מוכתבת. בעיניי, מטרת האופנה היא ביטוי עצמי וכוח לשחרור, אך היא גם מקשה על הבנת אנשים מסוימים לגבי המגדר שלהם. האופנה המגדרית היא דרך לציין הבניה חברתית והיא מביאה איתה עולם שלם של תפיסות לגבי התנהגויות ותפקידים ההולמים גברים ונשים. בפרויקט הגמר שלי אני מציגה את ההבניה החברתית שאליה אנחנו כפופים מיומנו הראשון בעולם, את חוסר הבחירה ואת הקושי שנוצר בעקבותיה בהמשך חיינו כבוגרים המנסים להשתחרר מההבניה המגדרית. אני בודקת אם נוכל דרך האופנה לייצג את קשת המגדר באופן כוללני ומציאותי יותר מבלי לקבוע דרכה התנהגויות, תפיסות ופערים חברתיים. טכניקות עבודה: בניית צורה תלת־ממדית בפרקטיקה של דיגום חופשי על הגוף, פירוק של צורות קיימות, מעבר לחומר הגלם המובחר והרכבה מחודשת לקבלת בנייה מפוצלת של הצורה המקורית. שימוש בפתחים, בסוגרים ובגימורים מעולם ההלבשה התחתונה. ״Gender blender״ Or Menahem Supervisor: Claudette Zorea This project focuses on gender fashion, using a critical questioning perspective to examine social-gender image in a dictated society. To me, the goal of fashion is self-expression and the power to release, but fashion also makes it more difficult to understand people based on their gender. Gender fashion is a way to state social structuring and creates a new set of perceptions regarding behavior and roles that fit men and women. In my final project, I will relate to the social structuring we are subject to since the day we are born, the lack of choice, and the difficulty this creates as we become adults who are trying to free ourselves from gender structuring. I investigate whether, through fashion, we can represent the gender spectrum in a more general and realistic way and without fashion being used to determine behaviors, concepts, and social gaps.
