It’s not what I’ve been through, it’s how I got through 🙏🏾✨ The road to recovery these past 6 months has not been EASY! This concussion has been a motherfucker, if I’m being quite honest. After everything, in the end I am still standing. I’ve had ups & super lows that I have never experienced in my life. Mental health is something serious. It is not to be taken for granted. There were many times I thought to myself “my dance career is over, I will not be the same.” The devil wanted me to believe that was true but GOD had the final say. Although I missed out on U.S. tour this year, I have managed to recover in time to finish out the Lincoln center season🥺 I am loved I am blessed Thank you to everyone who has been a ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on in any capacity. I am officially back & ready to conquer this season. Not as the old Yazzmeen in my head but accepting the newness of where I am today.
