Or struggling with self doubt. Please know I had no 👏🏾 idea 👏🏾 I 👏🏾 would 👏🏾 end 👏🏾 up 👏🏾 here. @mlamoth09 can tell you, we had many convos because I was shook. I didn’t know what this would look like. There was no prototype. No precedent. I couldn’t say “I want my gray locs to look like ____” because there was no ____. So my journey was in the🪞. And if I’m being really honest? Every once in a while I think about dyeing it. Because folks are generous with age-related critiques & stereotypes of me, related to my hair being loc’d.
