I don't even know where to start with this book, but finally it's out. There have been so many complications and hard times trying to coordinate and assemble these 240 pages of text and photography. "All contributions are encapsulated inside rooms as the frame of setting — be it public constructions or private homes — echoing everything from daily chores, work, leisure, pleasure, and interior decor to intimacy, open-mindedness, escapism, current trends, countercultures, and generation gaps. The 100 photographs, in this sense, become a sequence of fragmentary memories, actions and events reframing past rooms in retrospect or in preparation for renewed considerations and experiences. This leaves space to embrace diversity, to welcome creative exchanges, and to feel the importance of cultural preservation. We hope the featured photographs will provide room for thought, dialogue, and exchange across borders. See something presented from within, and not outside of, the world."
