After my whale watching trip I had an extra day to kill in Monterey and ended up practice shooting @montereybayaquarium. Adding on from yesterday, shooting spontaneously isn’t my strongest suit. Wildlife and street photography is really difficult for me being that subjects are sporadic and creating frames come in a fraction of a second. But I’m pretty happy with how I did that day. Shout out to @jyshih21 for the tips and also contributing to waving otter (slide 3) and anchovies shmoovin (slide 5) I made this wanting to highlight the simple beauty of these animals. We all inhabit this big blue world together yet the things we create are driving these living beings to extinction. I went to Hawaii when I was younger and dived into a vast colorful world of life and beauty, only to revisit years latter to find bleached coral and empty waters. It broke my heart. It continues to do so. I hope that one day my children can witness the beauty of this planet like I’m able to, if not more so.
