Introducing the first renders of the world’s first feminist futurist car Dakini. Dakini is the embodiment of feminine empowerment and enlightenment. Women who drive a Dakini are in ultimate control of their bodies, destinies and freedom. Body panels are adapted to a @teslamotors roadster for functionality. Material and industrial design are rooted in the principles of Neri Oxman’s material ecology. For too long the technology industry and the future has been cast under a patriarchal masculine lens. How engaging and enriching it is to imagine a broadening future that supersedes these archaic structures; a feminine future. A car globally is a symbol of bodily autonomy and many women are still not allowed to drive. This car is truly a symbol of a new world and women being the drivers of it. Taking inspiration from one of my idols @danielarsham , artists should continue to shape the world from within our vision, superseding expectations that art has any limitations in any arena.
