those early sunrises by the ocean, hunny, be a shhhmooodddd GURL, I may very well still be in Brooklyn but this right here is tha VIBE, tha MEWD and tha ENERGY ... this long weekend! Her spirit is still on that solo trip she took a few months ago 🌊 during my solo trip to the beautiful and bewitching beaches of Anguilla, I made a promise to myself to watch the sunrise every morning, and so I did. Took myself to the beach every morning and watched the sunrise as the turquoise waters held me, as my bawdy danced with the waves, as shades of oranges and pinks painted the skies ... I will forever cherish those mornings with myself been moving through my summer weekends slowly, savoring those moments of pause, rest and rejuvenation. Not just for the hope that this will eventually lead to moments of productivity ... I’m talking pausing to take a vivid mental snapshot of a memory to look back on for my own enjoyment, I’m talking a rest for the sake of rest + restoration to my being, I’m talking rejuvenation simply to sustain and feed into my own self-journeying 🌊 Daily note to self: this version of yourself, gurl, in this moment in time is special, slow down and spend time with her 💙
