Tour is over! Not in the way I expected...for those that don’t know I fractured my foot and spine....but man. I feel fucking great. I can’t believe we got to play with @anmlcollective, @moses, AND @parquetcourts! I conquered some of my fears, learned so much, played my little heart out, and got to hang with my friends. I also got gifts from @fender (a beautiful 60s vintera strat), @camper (cutest flats), @hologram_electronics (a microcosm!) I got to play at a festival I have wanted to attend for years (@bigearsfestival) and was showered with love walking down the street literally every couple of minutes. I was featured in a full page spread w/ my homie @bartees_strange in the @nytimes shot by @ariellebobbwillis . There’s more even but I’m running outta space! Bucket list stuff. So grateful. Shout out to the best band of friends ever: @chef_booboo_doodoo @alwynmusic @chef_jachary @strugglinstrugglin Huge thanks to our incredible TM @bashfulslasher , unbelievable manager @isaaclouis and rockstar booking agent @planetandroid who also took me to the hospital. Feeling lucky to be able to rearrange my calendar. I won’t have to miss much and have time to heal. I get to nourish my body in all the ways it always deserved and now desperately needs. This injury is weirdly very life-affirming. Shout out to lovely @umesi__ for styling me and working w/ @fugitivepatterns to create a custom leather look, covered with bells that was musically incorporated into the show. ❤️🌺Shout out @willienorrisworkshop for the custom clothing for the band (check out slide 6 for a sample). Someone saw this outfit on stage and told me it helped them with their anxiety. Wow! Thank you @nosesso for the all-denim look, @panconesi for the earrings, @juliajentzsch for the coat, all at BAM. Thanks to @lula_laora for the heels with literal bells on. Beautiful @sedincolor hooked me up with my new bomb Kelis hair color! So many others to thank but there’s no space😞 Hit the bandcamp, send us some anti-inflammatory foods, stop by the house, and send Ben whiskey, beer, fun games, and good vibes.
