Me on the final day, at the end of the glorious event my dear friend @ebeleokobi and Ashley Adjaye hosted in celebration of the brilliant Sonia Boyce, who not only made history as the first Black woman to represent Great Britain at the Biennale 💃🏿 but also just won the prestigious Golden Lion for her work Feeling Her Way which combined video, collage, music and sculpture to celebrate Black female voices. Not much footage of the event to share (sorry!) but sometimes you just want to soak in the moment (and what a moment it was) in real time as opposed to watching it through your phone.
