Stability is everything to the athlete. It is what allows you to create efficient force in any direction while keeping the spine neutral for better; throws, shots, hits, passes, etc. Here i am doing unilateral reactive catches with my foot on the balance pad, loading the kettlebell unilaterally is forcing me to brace the core to stay upright and my foot on the pad is keeping me aware of my hip, knee and ankle positioning and to add to that the reactive ball catch is challenging my coordination and ability to remain still in an unstable environment even further.
