Back in March, we launched a nationwide grant program called the "43 Challenge," encouraging physicians, scientists and thought leaders to submit proposals for a $4.3 million research grant. After casting a nationwide net for proposals, we received 25 excellent ideas. Three different review panels comprised of Sunshine Project physicians, external healthcare & business experts vetted and scored 9 of these proposals. We are proud to announce the winners of the $4.3 million research grant: 1. Pediatric oncologist, Dr. Dan Weiser from Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center / Children’s Hospital at Montefiore 2. Dr. Keisuke Iwamoto at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA 3. Dr. Gregory Sullivan at Paratope Bio, LLC. Each of these winners has a scientific theory to advance the fight against pediatric cancer, and the NPCF grants will enable them to advance their studies and research.
