30. The Album — i decided to use music as a way to express how i feel about my birthday this year. Over the last decade music has been my anchor thru any and everything. These 5 albums saw me at some of my best times and saw me out of some of my worst times. Forest Hills Drive is all about the grind. I remember when it dropped while I was in Sopron and January 28th came on. it was over! I blasted A Tale of 2 Cities after i picked up the keys to my parents new house i got them. Banger after banger. SEPT 5TH. We had never heard anything like Dvsn when they came out. With Me, Too Deep. Reminds me of SA. late night car rides, just being young and reckless basically 😂 but some of the most amazing times. This album is 1/1. Saturn was a different time. It was a dark time for me and when i heard Make it Out Alive i felt like someone understood exactly how i felt. Loving yourself is a scary thing. Loving someone else is even scarier. This album picked up the pieces and let me feel all of them effortlessly. Moments Spent Loving You. Damn. If i didn’t already love me some Xavier Omar and Sango...this album. this brings out my soft and vulnerable side. after u been let down and drained emotionally and spiritually you can tend to close up. this album reminded me to stay open to love.. this type of love he sings about is the love i want. i live for the moments to love and this album brings all that outta me lol lastly 30. sheesh. girllll she already had me at 21 and 25 but once i heard easy on me it was like all the anxiety and pressure to keep it together came pouring out of me. she was so raw in her feelings...an amazing album that represents growth but in the most imperfect way. getting older is never easy, that girl in the first picture is not the woman i look at in the mirror every day. im thankful for all the lessons and love along the way even more so for the music that gets me thru 🤍🫶🏽 cheers to 30 and more albums to make memories to 🥂
