Along our quest for finding the most delicious things and supporting coastal communities, we’ve tasted literal shiploads of tinned fish and have found that not all tins are created equal. We’ve partnered with Conservas Mariscadora on our first line of single-origin tinned shellfish, harvested by mariscadoras (women shellfish pickers) and hand-packed in Galicia, Spain. Just like a rare wine vintage speaks to the time and place when a grape is the best representation of itself, tins allow us access to the most literal expression of seasonality and origin. Not only that, we believe the best way to enjoy these products is to simply eat them straight out of the tin, delighting in the purest expression of the product (sound familiar?)
