Last week, I introduced a new format for "listening sessions," which have historically taken place in a conference room between myself & my HR partner and approximately 10 associates. Last Friday, I introduced a modified listening session format, tentatively known as "Talk to Tuck," where we brought the conference room to the fulfillment center floor and I conducted several 1:1 speed-date-like conversations with two goals in mind; first, get to know the associates who make this place so great and second, understand what makes them tick and how we can do better for them. My hypothesis, which was that I would learn and connect more by creating an approachable, relatable space in an environment they are comfortable in proved true. I have a page of notes and I'm excited to lean into the feedback I was given.
