So many times this year I would look around myself and wonder where I was. I would say, ha ha, where am i? But, not ever in my heart. I know where I am in my heart. . I make this love-prayer for all of us. For all of the earthlings entitled by light and air and water. I make this prayer of the lifting up, and the is-ness, and the hopeful universe that is the entire dreamspace of the heart. . Making this prayer for the long-lonely. Making this prayer for the chronically ill. Making this prayer for the forgotten about incarcerated humans. Making this prayer for the poets who’ve been unable to poem. Making this prayer for those of us with a burning hot hot-spot in the center of our chests sometimes. Making this prayer for those among us who feel monstrous. Making this prayer soft into scars cut by sharp thoughts: here it is: May you be whole. May you know your wholeness in the universal breath of acceptance. May all of the angels who light around you sing your name in the healing tune of your own vibrant key: May you know the burning universe of light that is your own Soul. May being be well with you. May you be inspired. May the energies to move your body come sweet to you. May you know that love that you are in each incremental breath of being. . Here we sing out to the entire planet, a sigh in the key of, “yes.” A sigh in the wet eyes of grief. A sigh in the luminous breath of hope. A sigh in the enveloping limbs of all of the trees. A sigh in the key of salt. . May you walk softly in your own skin. . May gentleness carrying you in the map of your own hands. . May the day be a pallet of perfect shades with which to color the waking hours of your life. . May you find a new dream within you. A dream that calls your name in a choir of yeses. . May you be one with your own rightness, and well with your own is-ness. . I hold you in love. And this is not always an easy thing to do. Sometimes i look for the love and it is running down the shore. Sometimes i call it to action and I am the one running down the shore. But, today, in all the best that can be found in the universe, may love sit all over you in giddy warmth.
