RESCUE UPDATE: Meet Princess and Rose. Their owner was displaced from his home due to Hurricane Ian and unable to return because of the catastrophic flooding and devastation. He did not know how his beloved horse Princess and chicken Rose had fared. American Humane first responders were able to access the home yesterday and check on the animals, who were both hungry, thirsty and shaken up, but otherwise ok and safely on dry land. We provided them with much needed food and water and ensured they will be taken care of until their owner is able to return. The owner is desperate to get home to his animals, and has an especially close relationship with Rose, who lives inside of his home and follows him wherever he goes.
