Baseball is more than just a game, it’s life. As long as I can remember I have had a ball and glove in my hand. Whether I was throwing with my Dad, Henry, Jacob, a friend or a teammate, I always wanted to just have a good time. This game has had its ups and most certainly had its downs but I have loved it through the thick and the thin. There was a time I wanted to quit this sport because I didn’t think I was good enough to start for any team. I couldn’t seem to hit or field the ball and my confidence was at an all time low, I didn’t look forward to going to the plate because I thought I would strike out and I didn’t want a ball hit my way because I thought I would make an error. This game has taught me so much more than just how to field and hit, it has taught me how to battle through adversity and not give up even though times are hard. I can’t believe it has come to an end and I will miss everything and everyone I have met on this journey. This game is truly the love of my life and I don’t know what I’m going to do without it.
