I might just prefer winter beach grills over those in summer - getting a fire going, on a deserted beach, during a mild December afternoon is just what today called for. After a busy weekend I decided to take my bottle of @bowmore Masters’ Selection Edition 1, created in partnership @astonmartinlagonda, down to the sea with everything I needed for a simple wood-fire set-up. I love whisky, especially for pairing with food, and this one is sweet and nutty, with a hint of spice. It paired perfectly with mussels, collected from the boats early this morning, and home-grown lemons.
