On this long weekend I’m already seeing many posts about people denouncing their citizenship, skin colour and gender. We feel POWERLESS and angry. But you realize there's more of us than those who have seats in government. They are no monolith! Politics is about who holds POWER not service. You don’t need to rely on these people, but you feel like you must because "you" and “they” have convinced yourself that you are POWERLESS. The path of least resistance is the most natural instinct and reaction that is shared amongst all species. But, we’ve been born a human, a global citizen of the world that is tied to land and imaginary borders and rituals that define us and we are part of a system, whether man made or outside of this. To be human is to have a consciousness, something that not many other species on this planet have. Although I beg to differ that consciousness of others species is present in different forms and functions. We are fucking blessed and we literally have the POWER to effect life in more ways than most. But, in exchange we have been given an ego, and to this, life will not be easy. We must battle our own ego and the ego of others - that is the trade off of being human. How can we be of service to others to overcome and I hold myself to this question. Less me, me, me and more about how I can help others w/out announcing to the world. Hold people accountable, hold yourself accountable. Our time on this planet is shorter than you think. Care for thy neighbour in meaningful ways or fall into the trap of esteem on the lowest level. Own up to mistakes and be honest. Demand that of yourself and others - it will not be easy. As I get older I realize that life is not set up to be easy, we are but a part of the cycle of energies and that cycle keeps going with or without you The more we come to accept this notion the more EMPOWERED we become. I am categorized as a Canadian citizen which helps humans to process order. I hope you may find peace and justice during this time. We do not need to endure this spiritual madness forever.
