Let’s talk sunscreens 🌞 Do you know there are two kinds of sunscreens? Chemical and physical, or also known as mineral. Breaking down the difference below 👇🏻👇🏻 Physical or Mineral sunscreen creates a physical barrier on the skin, protecting it from the harmful, damaging, cancer-causing UV rays by deflecting them away. These sunscreens contain ingredients like titanium oxide and zinc oxide. Chemical sunscreens contain chemical compounds that sink into the skin and filter out the UV rays. I truly don’t have a preference, I tend to use both and switch it up all the time! If I am not getting a lot of sun exposure I like using the chemical sunscreen. I like the texture more, it’s easier to blend and wears well under makeup. If I’m spending a lot of time in the sun, I tend to use a physical sunscreen. Physical sunscreen is especially great for those with sensitive skin as it’s much less irritating. Chemical sunscreens can sometimes clog pores and cause acne. Do you have a presence?
