Currently sitting in Newark Airport watching the sun set on the Manhattan skyline. I’ve just spent a few magical days in NY. I put this little collage together in a rush the night before I traveled - intending to post it, but then I decided - you know what - I want to fully engage in this trip so I put posting on pause. Normally at this time of year I’m in NY doing a trade show. Our little company is in such a privileged position not to have to do shows at the moment. I’ve really missed NY though so I took myself off, alone purposely to appreciate the growth of our business which has so much to do with exhibiting in NY. Darling @angela.louison collected me from the airport on Friday. We talked non stop until we left each other on Friday evening. Then time alone until a lovely catch-up with @lorimcleanjewelry last evening - not forgetting the dance class with @angelatrimbur just before - what a hoot (forgot all the moves) Clockwise starting top left. The very first pair of eye balance earrings I made. Little red pencil - my youngest son Otto used right to the end. The ‘love’ Apple a present from my sis @marnimorton, very early GM charm with yellow enamel car on a spring representing NY taxi, vintage reverse painted aeroplane charm, teeny tiny mother of Pearl buttons (who remembers button earrings) owl charm from my mum, Cracker Jack Statue of Liberty charm - I used Cracker Jack Charms a lot in the early days. Miniature US coins (on green Lady Washington Pearls card) given to me by my Uncle who we sadly lost last year. I remember him telling me ‘I’m giving you these to make money out of’ Ticket from a Trunkshow I did at Barneys - February 2019. They were gone by the end of the year 💔Coin charm - my dad’s Aunt Annie’s, a drawing by Otto. Shamrock & cradle Charms give to my by my Mother in law Margaret (they were hers) Cafe Gitane matches, vintage Statue of Liberty charm given to me by my love and now business partner @ian_sutherland_edinburgh, business card from @thejanehotel where I have stayed many times.
