In this peaceful painting, @jerrellgibbs captures his friend and poet @kondwanifidel within a lush park. He uses impressionistic brushstrokes to suggest a blooming field, carefully enveloping Fidel with a sense of serenity. This work was adapted from a photograph taken by Baltimore photographer @schaunchampion. In summer 2020, @baltmag commissioned Champion to capture Kondwani Fidel’s portrait.
