Never in a million years did I imagine life to be what it is for me today. I feel so grateful to be where I am from and proud to be the product of a Mexican immigrant family. The path wasn’t easy for me but the resilience and strength I learned from my family has gotten me through. “Ponte chingon” my mom would tell me. I’m honored to have have shared this experience with both my chosen family and my blood family in the Pueblo of my ancestors.
