#stitch with @Dixon White #mixedrace #hispanic #latino there's so many more aspects of why this is just horrible but this is just one that I think older generations never understood because they were always told that the lighter you are the better off, but they don't realize is that's not exactly the case, mixed people have different but similar struggles. mixed people are amazing and beautiful in their own way like all communities are, but we need to stop sexualizing or believing it's some way out. it's not. even in the case of white privilege it doesn't always work the way they think. I myself don't always benefit, one example I get consistently and constantly harrassed by police and followed in stores. we need to stop affiliating with only white or POC and start going back to reclaiming our harritage, our ethnicity and not associating either with the color of our skin.
