RIP to this mural I painted in Zihuatanejo, Mexico in 2018. I just found out it was painted over which is the inevitability of all murals, especially ones that get weathered and live next to the ocean, but this one came as a surprise since it wasn’t very old. It’s one of my favorite murals I’ve ever painted and I can’t help but feel a little heartbreak and a reminder of my own mortality with its ending. I’m grateful for the memories, Spanish lessons, and people I met while I painted this. Thank you to @gatita_reynolds and @andressaavedramx for making it happen. Now onto the next... 💫
