.: PAPA COLE DAY :. I never really get a chance to properly show you my appreciation, or perhaps I don’t take enough time to do so. There have been some ups and downs, much like most families, but you have always remained consistent with me - you have always showed me your love and have never been afraid to express how you feel - good or bad - whether I like what you are saying or not! I am more than grateful for that and the dynamic we embody. You are the reason I am who I am and how I am today. You have helped to shape my perspective on the world around me - allowed me to see the world with a loving, curious and critical eye and always pushed me to better my perspective and sense of self. There are a lot of times that I have very little confidence in the world around me, the way it is shaped and run, but it’s people like you that keep my hope intact - your words and work to continue to better our world are what help me to cope, whether I want to hear them or not. I love you dad, more than I can express in text. I know you know, but just in case you didn’t, this is to remind you. Happy Papa Cole day, i’m blessed to have you as my Dad.
