I still remember doing my first food photoshoots for The Infatuation a little over a year ago. It was my first time shooting food (other than the occasional, hastily taken iPhone photos of food that I usually never looked at ever again), and I was nervous. I had no idea what to expect. I’d just been given shot lists for two restaurants in Lower Manhattan and some style guidelines, but otherwise I was on my own. These were test shoots to gauge whether I was a good fit for The Infatuation or not, and I felt a lot of pressure on top of the fact I was just figuring it out as I went along. I’d never taken any classes or received formal training, YouTube was my teacher. But I’d been hustling for months just for an opportunity like this. I’d spent all of my free time in recent months learning how to take and edit better photos, and it was starting to pay off. There were some complications that came up during the shoots that I had to navigate, and I spent hours editing those photos, making sure every grain of rice was pixel-perfect (they still weren’t). Luckily the photos came out well and it’s been a blessing ever since to work with the talented folks over at The Infatuation, shooting (and eating at) some of the best restaurants that this amazing melting pot of a city has to offer. This is my second ever reel (still trying to figure out how they work) with some of my favorite shots from the last year plus of shooting for The Infatuation. For those of you who’ve made it this far, should I make more reels? What would you want to see in them? ___ #newyorkcity #michelin #restaurant #michelinstar #bar #finedining #dinner #chef #lunch #manhattan #foodlover #gourmet #restaurante #brooklyn #cafe #ristorante #foodgasm #seafood #restaurants #drinks #yum #cuisine #nycprimeshot #pasta #レストラン #what_i_saw_in_nyc #foodphotography #먹스타그램 #traveltheworld #travelblogger
