This photo of a little Christmas tree was made 21 years ago by photographer Joel Sternfeld when the High Line was a forgotten elevated railway overtaken by nature. Chelsea resident, Ken Robson lived in an apartment next to the High Line and would cross from his window on a narrow board 30 feet above the ground to cultivate a small garden that only he could see.
