@nba @wnba @Nike it’s time (and it’s LONG overdue) for the severe pay disparities between men and women professional basketball players to end. #BG may not be in this situation if she didn’t have to travel to foreign countries to earn what a Franchise player should be earning in America. BG has owned her role in this, and we can safely deduce that Russia is putting a 10 on this whole situation (the punishment doesn’t fit the crime at all). But I can’t help but think of how many PROFESSIONAL Womens Basketball players over the years have had to risk their lives, miss their families, and live in foreign lands to even make close to what a BENCH WARMING Mens NBA player earns...not because it’s easier work, not because we don’t work as hard, but because the just like with any other work women do, system is designed to pay women less for equal work.
