Here’s some things the new law tries to achieve: -More $ for mental health and school safety —closing of the “boyfriend loop” (intimate partners - not only spouse or live in partners, convicted of domestic violence can’t have guns) -more thorough review of 18-21 yr olds who want to buy guns Congratulations to all those who said we’re not going to live like this anymore. For the first time in our lifetime, the Senate took bipartisan action to address the number one cause of death for children in America today, gun violence. We know there’s A LOT more work to be done to end this epidemic. But a lot of hard work got us to this historic vote tonight, and lives will be saved. We refuse to quit or be silenced.
