October 28 is the deadline to request a mail-in ballot for voters in Virginia. At this point, early voting in the commonwealth has been going on for more than 35 days but, in case you still have questions, here are some last-minute tips from WAMU/DCist Northern Virginia Reporter Margaret Barthel. Early voting centers will be open until Nov. 5, the Saturday before the election. If you vote by mail or dropbox, your ballot now MUST have a witness signature on it to be valid. Waited too long to register? Fear not. Virginians can now register AND cast a provisional ballot on Election Day. Your vote will be counted once the local registrar verifies your registration. Still have questions? Check out our handy Virginia Voter Guide, a one-stop shop for election information in our region (link on bio or go to http://DCist.com/vote). Video by @tyronefoto
