As a poor, gay kid from small-town Idaho already I beat the odds in many ways. Eleven years ago I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in fashion; three months after that I was on Project Runway. After working as a designer and fashion/wardrobe stylist for many years, I found myself stuck and in need of a fresh start.
