Papa, you were a kind and loving soul. We were all fortunate to know you in this lifetime. Despite all the suffering experiencing the Vietnam war can bring someone, you were always present with the family. Your patience and care for the beautiful garden you kept every year got me excited about plants when I was a kid. I have many wonderful memories walking through the garden, picking tomatoes and peppers. I’ll always have a love for plants. I still can’t grow a tomato even close to yours, but I have time to get there. Admittedly, I didn’t spend as much time as I wanted to with you in your later years. In our last phone conversation, you told me how much you loved the blossoms of the habanero plant. Every year, when my own habanero plants blossom, you’ll be right there. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for the family throughout your life. I love you so much. ♥️
