Going Low and Slow with @trussprofessional ๐ซถ๐ผ
Two of the biggest mistakes when lifting Darker Bases to Platinum Are . . .
One ๐๐ผ Not using the appropriate lightener! Every lightener is designed for a purpose!
- You have your Work Horse Lighteners (fast acting , lift up to 9 levels , can be very harsh on the hair) . I personally like to use them on very healthy, thicker , virgin hair! I Do Not to Use them for Re-Touches, because they also have a tendency to swell!
- You have your more gentle Lighteners that lift up to 7 levels, and they lift at a more even rate , donโt blow out the hair causing hot spots, and maintain the integrity of the hair! ( These Lighteners I use more)
- And letโs not forget about Clay Lighteners ! They were designed for open air Balyage , but they are also good to use in foils for a gentle lift !
Tip ๐๐ผ use a clay lightener in foils around hairlineโs that are more fine , fragile , and level 7 and up! This way the foils donโt slip around and it is more gentle on the hair!
Two ๐๐ผ Not Allowing the Lightener to stay on long enough! I know it can be nerve racking to let lightener sit on the hair for a long period of time , but if you use a gentle lightener like @trussprofessional Blanc.Blond (what I used in this video) , you will achieve the results you want and still maintain the integrity of the hair ๐๐ผ!!
Thank You @michaelamcvoy for Trusting Me ๐!
All the Love, Rachel ๐
