“I’ve heard songs that have just felt so exciting to me, and I was so moved by what I was listening to that I couldn’t physically stop until I could write something like that too. I was very much driven by the emotions that the songs I grew up listening to evoked within me. I feel like there’s nothing better in this world than creating something that helps or moves people. I have people writing to me that I’ve changed their lives.
