Double Chicken Please (@doublechickenpleasenyc) is not your average cocktail bar. Beyond making one of NYC’s most sought-after fried chicken sandwiches, the high-concept bar goes to great lengths to bring its whimsical cocktail program to life. In the French Toast, a rich, flip-style cocktail, brioche concentrate — a blend of toasted brioche and maple syrup — gets combined with whole milk and coconut water before being shaken with a whole egg. Garnished with a bittersweet Espresso Martini–flavored “Oreo,” the breakfast-inspired cocktail is unique and nostalgic. “You are effectively drinking your French Toast and eating your Espresso Martini,” explains GN Chan (@ggnchan), the co-founder of Double Chicken Please.
