Why do all women need to have LHS (Lift Heavy Shit) in their exercise routine? We want to add LOAD to your workouts. When we look at perimenopause and late perimenopause, we have lost the ability of estrogen to stimulate power, strength and lean mass development. Estrogen stimulates the very basic cell of the muscle to replicate, is responsible for how strong the contractile proteins bind, and how fast a nerve stimulates muscle contraction. By training with heavy loads, we are invoking a central nervous system response to an external stress to stimulate adaptations the way estrogen used to support.
