Earth Day 🌎 every day! This aerosolar sculpture by Tomas Saraceno transforms used plastic bags into a lighter-than-air balloon 🎈that floats without the use of ⛽️ fossil fuels. It’s a great reminder of the magnitude of our plastic waste, as well as the importance of reusing, recycling and repurposing. ♻️⁣ ⁣ Excessive waste 🗑 is a huge problem in the beauty and personal care industry. In 2017, the industry produced 76.8 billion plastic 🧴packaging units, and the numbers have been getting worse! 😰⁣ ⁣ As we become more aware of the importance of sustainability for the health of our planet 🌍 and ourselves, it’s great to know that there are lots of easy ways to make a difference. Buy refillable products, use reusable cotton rounds, use bamboo🎋 beauty tools, use reef-safe 🐠sunscreen, look for sustainable and eco-friendly 🌱ingredients, and install a low-flow shower head 🚿 to conserve water. 💧⁣ ⁣ These are just a few of the small changes we can make to be better to our planet! 🌎💚⁣
