From student to dentist. 🦷✨ When Alex Bertrand started the Dental Assisting Program at @GulfCoastStateCollege, she wasn’t sure where life would take her. With encouragement from her husband and support from the GCSC Dental Program, she found her calling. 📸 Pictured (first) as a GCSC grad and (second) now, Alex has come full circle—working as a general dentist at the very same office where she once interned. Her journey wasn’t without its challenges: moving from Michigan to Panama City far from her family, figuring out financial aid, and balancing a full-time job with her studies. But Alex’s perseverance and the support of GCSC helped her achieve her dream. “Being a student at GCSC always felt like family. I wouldn’t be where I am without their guidance and support,” she says. Her story is proof that determination, hard work, and a little encouragement can take you farther than you ever imagined.
