I moved to Los Angeles in October, I met Jake shortly after. In November, he won me over by baking me the best plant based cookie I had ever had. As a long time vegan and chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, this was not only an incredibly sweet gesture - it was an impressive feat. By December, we were pretty much living together and by January, we were diving head first in to starting a cookie dough company together. We were both artists (he was an architect and I was a fine painter) so to say we were lacking the necessary experience to launch a CPG business would be quite an understatement. Still, we have created something that we are really proud of and that people seem to be pretty obsessed with! In just a few months, we have picked up incredible momentum and will be debuting in a Manhattan grocer later this summer with an opportunity we can’t quite share yet.
