Have you watched my latest music video for @nicky_egan “This Life” ?! Link in bio ✨ This is such a special project for me. Nicky is one of my dearest friends and longest collaborators. She was one of the first artists to entrust me with making their music videos when I first got started way back in the day. Making art with your friends will remain one of, if not, the greatest gifts in this life. This project was especially important to me because of subject of Nicky’s beautiful song. She wrote this song about losing a loved one to cancer. The song is about the grief of loss, and how we make sense of that transition from this life to the great unknown. I wanted to show that vulnerable state we’ve all been in when in the throes of that pain and suffering. Sometimes we just have to take a drive to try and clear our head. Sometimes we have a solitary breakdown and all our feelings come to a head in an overwhelming surge and we feel like we’re drowning, never able to come up for air. And yet, we somehow do. We somehow persevere, baptized by grief, we reemerge with a new perspective and appreciation for this life. ✨
