With Āroka my aim has been to empower the wearer of my clothes and evoke an emotion, the feeling of belonging or standing out ... it should bring out the personality of the wearer. I haven’t been the most comfortable in my own skin lately nor have I felt good about myself with the emotions of grief and struggle that we all go through. So when @jahnvibansal pushed me to do an impromptu shoot wearing one of my own designs from our new collection and believed I can accept myself as I am, that I can tell my own story ... honestly I felt very overwhelmed whether I can pull it off. I am most comfortable staying behind the scenes but this was new for me. When I wore this dress, I felt empowered and beautiful, strong and appreciated. So I guess the brands voice helped me find my own at that moment ... sometimes when you experience what you preach about self acceptance, you realise just how powerful clothes can be to change the way you feel. 📷 @sagarahuja.jpeg HMU - @yin.aien @nbadmaal
