Being back in NY feels good. I feel so lucky to live in a city I love returning to after a vacation. I still remember dreaming about living in New York while I was still in Italy. Coming home from a trip or vacation abroad never used to feel joyful. I truly believe it’s our mission during our time on this Earth to find the place where we feel happiest—and make it our home. This past week was a mix of indoor activities to keep the kids entertained and walks around our neighborhood. Schools are still closed, but at least Elena starts camp next week, which means Augusto and I will have some time together, just the two of us. He’s grown so much since the beginning of summer—more talkative, way funnier, still always hungry, and completely in love with cars.
